We can help you claim compensation for your injuries by offering a 100% Compensation - No Win No Fee service, meaning that you receive 100% of your compensation and pay absolutely nothing to claim.

Front impact accidents can include head on collisions with other vehicles or head on collisions with a barrier such as a tree. Impacts with barriers, trees and lamp posts for example can do a lot more damage as the barrier doesn't give on impact, another vehicle would crumple as it is designed to. A head-on collision or front impact will most likely cause the airbags to deploy.

Injuries with a front impact will depend on the speed of the impact but the vehicle will also have an effect. An older vehicle might cause you more damage as they can have: weaker brakes, old style tyres, no crumple zone, no airbags, no padding, no seat belts or head rests.

Newer cars generally have much better safety features and most have a much better design with regard to the crumple zones. EURO NCAP (European New Car Assessment Programme) has become a means for encouraging safety improvements in new car design and the tests include frontal impact, side impact, pole impact, child protection, pedestrian protection, drivers, protocols, technical papers and more recent rear impact (whiplash).

Frontal Impact takes place at 64 Km/h, 40% of the width of the car striking a deformable barrier. In the side impact, a mobile deformable barrier impacts the driver's door at 50 km/h. In the pole test, the car tested is propelled sideways at 29km/h into a rigid pole.

Case Study

"A judge has awarded £8 million in compensation to an eight-year-old girl who suffered horrific injuries as a result of being in a car crash before she was born. The girl’s mother was 26 weeks pregnant when she was involved in a head-on collision. The accident caused a ‘placental abruption’ which left the girl with cerebral palsy and several other disabilities. The solicitor says the case was particularly complicated because, 'from a legal point of view we had to prove that the original accident caused the injuries sustained to the child which was a complex process requiring expert evidence linking the accident to the injuries.' "

Case Study

"The family of a young woman severely disfigured by a head-on collision is seeking £500,000 in compensation. The accident happened when the victim’s Fiat Panda was ploughed into by a white van driver who was racing with another vehicle. He was going 55 mph and trying to overtake a car on the brow of a hill when he smashed into the claimant’s car. The victim, who was just 18 at the time of the crash suffered brain damage, a broken leg, a broken arm and serious cuts to her face which have left her scarred."
