Whiplash Syndrome

An extended period of whiplash pain can be know as whiplash syndrome where the pain can last for a few days, weeks, months or can be permanent. Whiplash syndrome can also have delayed symptoms, such as the following:

  • Reoccurring headaches and neck pain
  • Tingling in arms and legs
  • Pain in lower back
  • Twitches and spasms in back
  • Mental problems – fatigued, lack of energy, no motivation
  • Sleep disturbances, nightmares
  • Post traumatic stress
  • Loss of libido

You can make a claim if...

  • The accident happened less than 3 years ago*
  • The accident was not your fault
  • You have suffered injury, losses or expenses

* unless it is a claim for a child, which can be made any time up until the child reaches the age of 21. There are very few other exceptions.
